Hello Friends, In this blog post I am going to let you know about very interesting facts about email marketing related with email sending quota that often happens almost with all the email marketing user once in their life.
Have you imagined that you purchase an ESP plan along with an SMTP plan and when you send your first email campaign then you see that your sent email has been stuck in between and stop sending further?
And then you make the inquiry for the same and then you got to know that you have a fixed sending limit say 200 emails/day or 500 emails/day until either you verify your email or domain. Or sometimes you need to manually send a request to increase your email sending limit whenever it is just for one time and later it is automatically increased on the basis of use and requirement.
for example: if you use amazon SES for sending your email then initially it keeps you in the sandbox mode where you can send only limited emails/day. But once you send the request for increasing your email sending limit then they increased your sending limit and later your sending limit automatically increased as per the use or requirement for your email sending.
Why should you be aware of the initial sending limit while doing the email marketing or sending your very first email campaign?
You must know your email sending limit as you got your first email campaign stuck in between so it also damages your email sending reputation which can affect your email delivery rate as well.
And you also lose your business for which you sent the email campaign and this will also affect the trust with your marketing partners. Suppose you sent an important email campaign for a dedicated and timed sale and it was stuck before sending and you got to know sometime later then you can not do anything in reverse to resent it again in the back time so ultimately the point is the time-dependent or time-based email campaign must be sent before checking this email sending limit.
Why this verification and request for email sending limit is necessary to do? any many ESP does not allow to send bulk emails, especially in the first or second shot of email campaign?
As in the starting age of email marketing, there were no limit or much verification for email or domain. But that time spamming was not in light much and there were very less spamming emails using this medium of ESP.
But last few years it has been observed that a major percentage of email marketing users are doing spamming by using these ESP or SMTP server. So to stop them or their activity now SMTP or ESP has revised their rules or policy along with account setup configuration.
Now ESP or SMTP makes sure that you must be authentic and authorize in terms of identity and business as well as most of the SMTP or ESP also checks your website content or website before activating your account for sending the emails.
So remember one thing don’t create your ESP account on the same day for sending the email campaign as it will not be a good practice to send the email campaign. First, prepare all the necessary requirements for the account and then make an account and wait until account activation is done and email sending limit increased if there is any limit.
almost all the SMTP or ESP provider has been set an initial limit for email sending so that user can’t send bulk email without verifying the email domain and setting up the other necessary account configuration like webhook points. and once they are done with complete setup then they can easily shot their email campaign. But most of the new user does this mistake to fire an email campaign to a large email list and then got stuck with their email campaign. While doing this few strict SMTP can also suspend your account temporary. Then you have to do the further unnecessary process to reactivate it. so make sure to check the email sending limit before firing your email campaign.
